Food and Drinks Bad for Bones


Many people feel do the best for their bones because it was diligent drinking milk.Milk is a good source of calcium, but calcium besides we also need vitamin D for optimal calcium absorption more.For the sake of healthy bones we are also required to maintain a balanced diet, including avoiding this means some sort of specific intake.

If you have a family history of osteoporosis, should you need to reduce the consumption of some foods and beverages following:

1.Caffeine
Habit of consuming caffeinated beverages can interfere with calcium absorption.The more caffeine you drink, the more calcium is lost in the urine.Even so the effect is small, especially if your diet contains high calcium.

2.Soda
Besides containing caffeine, carbonated drinks can also interfere with bone strength.According to experts the excess phosphorus, phosphoric acid flavoring agent in soda, will disturb the absorption of calcium.

3.Salt
The more salt that enters the body, the more calcium is lost through urine and sweat.

4.Alcohol
Consumption of alcohol in a moderate scale, about one glass per day for women and two glasses for men, does provide a protective effect for bone.But there is no reason to start drinking alcohol. After all most of the alcohol actually lead to reduced bone strength.

5.Most proteins
In the right amounts, the protein is essential for healthy bones and strong.Women need about 46 grams of protein per day, while men are about 56 grams.Although somewhat rare people who have extra protein, but if excessive protein will disrupt the balance of acidity in the body.Environment that is too acidic to make easy bone loss.
